I agree with you. Atheism is just a lack of belief in gods. It confers no other beliefs, ideology or mindsets. Of course, there will be atheists who want to do more and to use their atheism in positive ways. However, this is not atheism. That is a personal ideology – and it can be one that many people in the atheist community share, but it isn’t atheism.

I prefer to label myself as a humanist rather than an atheist, as humanism goes some of the way of explaining my personal ideology, whereas atheist does not. Atheist simply says, I don’t believe in god, nothing more, nothing less.

That’s misattributation, though. Any energy efficiency is due to sustainable farming methods, and absolutely zero to do with the woo, magic, and make believe that is the requirements exclusive to biodynamic farming. That study you refer to is extremely poorly controlled, and only “peer reviewed” in a very dodgy journal, if you could call it that at all.

Some people say that LGBT is “unlawful” and “immoral” because “you were meant to be with a member of the opposite gender to reproduce”.
Excuse me? I can smell the bullshit. If we’re gonna follow that train of thought then isn’t inter-racial marriage equally as “unholy” as seeing that the only way two people of different nationalities can be together is to meet overseas, by “unnatural methods”?

You’re not a bastard, you’re someone who has at least two brain cells to knock together. Sadly, “Homophobic Racist” doesn’t, along with the Anti-Madonna Russian ministers.

Just so anyone reading this knows… there is a significant amount of evidence that biodynamic farms perform extremely well in terms of energy efficiency (extremely important given the numerous energy crises on the horizon), environmental impact, as well as bringing greater social and cultural benefits to the surrounding community than conventional and even organic farms. So they must be doing something right.

So if your prefered approach to farming gives us systems which constantly spray chemical poisons on to our food and into our watercourses, destroy biodiversity and (through addicition to enormous machinery) destroy rural communities (as has happened over the last 60 years in the part of the UK in which i live), then give me druidic, magic and occult practices (which don’t do these things) any day of week.

Yes indeed. The present era of social media has decreased the cost of activism and dissemination of information to peer groups. Critics now have a voice and rebuttal may be more widespread than the original publication. In other words, we can now mobilise quickly and shine a light on people like MTR.

Every time I think I’ve seen all of Maloney’s old posts, something new pops up. For the record, I quite intentionally did not go to his house. In fact, as I said in a post the very night I distributed my publication, I skipped two homes in his neighborhood because the lighting was poor and I couldn’t tell which house was his. To err on the side of caution, I didn’t go to either. Thus, if anyone stuff anything in his screen, it was not me.
